first celebrity crush- oh GOD ummmm danny phantom? spike from buffy the vampire slayer? tortured soft bois have been my type since birth and it sucks. also britney spears, but I didn't know liking girls was a thing so I kind of thought I just really wanted to be her friend for a long time.
favorite nyc thing- it is a river of opportunity. everyones awake always and doing weird cool shit always and I love never feeling creatively or personally stifled and being able to explore all the weird tributaries of nyc culture.
least favorite nyc thing- it smells like pee everywhere
the strangest thing I've ever witnessed on the subway. was a homeless guy threatening to kill himself so lets not use that one. the strangest thing I've ever experienced on the streets was. walking from a party back to the subway in brooklyn and this guy came up to me asking to bum a smoke. then he asked me where I was from (eyeroll) then he pulled out a knife and I thought I was going to die but then he just gave me his switchblade for protection later in my life in exchange for a smoke and a light.
most recent good book I read was 'homesick for another world' by ottessa moshfegh . its a short story collection that is endearingly bleak.
I give two answers for favorite movie. honest answer is Bad Santa. which reflects poorly on my tastes as a human being. but that hasn't stopped me from watching it several times a year for the past decade. respectable answer is Adaptation. which is a fantastic film as well.
